Security Leader / CISO-level — Japanese Industrial Group — Tokyo

Location requirement

You must already be living in Japan with valid work authorization. We are not sponsoring relocation or visa transfers from overseas for this role. Applications from outside Japan will not be considered.

The context

We support a listed Japanese industrial group operating critical assets internationally. The IT leadership changed hands recently and security is being rebuilt as a real function rather than a layer bolted on afterwards. The perimeter is wide: heterogeneous multi-country IS, large IT and OT surface, serious compliance requirements. The role is anchored on Tokyo and English is the working language.

The role

• Own security governance and compliance, from policy through to audit
• Do hands-on security engineering, not only oversight
• Manage IT risk and carry it up to executive level
• Run the penetration testing programme and drive remediation
• Secure cloud, APIs and third-party integrations
• Frame safe AI adoption in a regulated environment

What we are looking for

• You already live in Japan with valid work authorization
• 15+ years in information security, including CISO-level or equivalent experience
• Application, API, cloud and container security on AWS, Azure or GCP
• OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, mTLS
• ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, regulated environments
• Fluent English. Japanese welcome, not required
