Abbeal is looking for a BI data engineer or analyst for the Azure data platform of a major Quebec financial institution.
Context
The data team designs and evolves a complete Azure platform, from infrastructure to Power BI reporting, using a Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
The role
- Design and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines in Azure Synapse
- Ensure data quality, security and governance
- Gather requirements and write technical specifications
- Build Power BI dashboards
- Transfer knowledge to internal teams
What we are looking for
- Azure Synapse (pipelines, Spark notebooks, SQL pools), ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, Azure Functions
- PySpark / Spark and R
- Terraform (Azure providers), Azure DevOps and YAML CI/CD
- Power BI (Desktop, Power Query)
- Pluses: access control (RBAC / ABAC), Azure networking, Azure Monitor, resilience
- Clear communicator, patient and meticulous
