A large Quebec public organization is structuring its artificial intelligence services. It is looking for an architect who can design the trust architecture linking security, safety, resilience, privacy, responsible AI, human factors and assurance. Not another ethics review: concrete properties and mechanisms that apply to real AI solutions.

What you will do

  • Define the trust properties and mechanisms of AI solutions, from design to go-live
  • Build the AI-specific threat model and failure scenarios
  • Design guardrails, human oversight, shutdown, recovery and controlled degradation
  • Set lifecycle checkpoints: entry and exit criteria, vetoes, go-live authorization, evidence
  • Organize logging, traceability, auditability and residual risk management
  • Explain the stakes to decision-makers and produce evidence files that hold up in architecture review and audit

Who we are looking for

  • Senior (7+ years) or intermediate (4+ years) in architecture, security or governance of AI systems
  • Strong command of ISO/IEC 42001 and 23894, NIST AI RMF, OWASP for LLMs and agents
  • Knowledge of Quebec legal requirements: Law 25, right to human review of an automated decision
  • Fluent French, resume in French

Terms

  • Downtown Montreal, hybrid 2 days a week on site
  • 40 hours a week, mandate up to 3 years, start subject to contract award
  • Freelance or permanent Abbeal employee
  • Apply before October 15, 2026
