Full Stack Developer, capital markets technology, major bank, Montreal (hybrid)

Abbeal is hiring a Full Stack Developer to join the capital markets technology team of a major Canadian bank in Montreal. 12-month assignment.

Context

Capital markets applications run under heavy constraints: volumes, reliability, regulatory requirements. The team is looking for someone who can own the whole chain, from application design to production.

The role

• Contribute to application design and architecture
• Build the front-end and back-end of the applications
• Design and expose APIs and services
• Write and optimise SQL queries
• Ship continuously with Git and a CI/CD pipeline
• Work in an agile team with business stakeholders and other developers

What we are looking for

• Solid experience in full stack development, front-end and back-end
• Hands-on application and API design
• Strong SQL
• Used to Git, CI/CD and agile methods
• Nice to have: banking or financial markets experience
• Fluent French and English (required)

Terms

• Open to freelancers or as a permanent Abbeal employee
• Montreal, hybrid: 2 days a week in the office
• 12-month assignment
