Intermediate Java Developer, .NET and data analysis, major Canadian bank, Montreal (hybrid)

Abbeal is looking for an intermediate Java developer for a major Canadian bank in Montreal.

Context

The role sits between back-end development and data. You write Java services, and you also know how to check that the data they produce and consume is right: SQL queries, profiling, quality checks.

The role

• Build and evolve REST APIs and microservices in Java and Spring Boot
• Work on existing .NET / C# components
• Analyse, profile and validate data in relational databases
• Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline (Maven, GitHub Actions, Harness)
• Work with business and data teams to make data flows reliable

Profile

• 3+ years of Java development
• Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices
• Working knowledge of .NET / C#
• SQL, relational databases, data analysis and profiling
• Maven, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Harness)
• AWS is a plus
• French required

Terms

• Montreal, hybrid: 2 days a week on site
• 12-month renewable contract, leading to a permanent position with the client (temp to perm): this role is for someone who wants to go permanent
