Lead Data Engineering Developer (Power BI, Snowflake, SQL), major bank, Montreal

In the financial crime team of a major Canadian bank, this role builds the data consumption layer: what analysts see, validate and send to the regulator. It is a technical reference role with some mentoring.

What you will do

• Design and evolve dashboards, interactive reports and data products
• Build pre-filling, validation and presentation of regulatory reports
• Integrate and consolidate data from several systems, model consumption views
• Keep quality high: CI/CD, automated tests, code review, performance and security

What we are looking for

• Bachelor plus 5 years, or master plus 3 years, in data visualisation or data products
• Advanced SQL on SQL Server (T-SQL), Snowflake, AWS, ETL and ELT
• Power BI or Tableau, dimensional modelling and Data Vault
• Git, Bitbucket or GitHub Actions, Jira and Confluence, agile practice
• French and English

Practical details

• Montreal, hybrid, 2 days a week in the office
• Permanent contract with Abbeal, 12-month assignment at the client
