A major cooperative financial group in Quebec is accelerating its cloud transformation. Abbeal is looking for a senior DevSecOps specialist to build the GCP foundations and automate secure cloud infrastructure.

Context

The mandate is part of a large-scale cloud transformation program: setting up GCP foundations, strengthening the security posture and optimizing cloud costs. It is a long-term engagement, through the end of October 2027.

The role

  • Build the GCP foundations (landing zone) and infrastructure patterns
  • Automate secure cloud infrastructure (GCP, Azure) with Terraform
  • Design and operate CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
  • Strengthen the security posture and optimize cloud costs

Your profile

  • GCP experience required (Azure a plus)
  • Mastery of Terraform (IaC), CI/CD and GitHub Actions
  • Bash and Python scripting, solid Linux background
  • Knowledge of networking, security, DNS and monitoring
  • Senior level; large-scale cloud and landing zone experience appreciated
  • Fluent French, intermediate English

Practical details

  • Montreal, hybrid 2 days per week on site
  • Start August 2026, long-term mandate through October 2027
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Freelance or permanent contract with Abbeal, your choice
