Frontend Techlead / Micro-Frontends Architect — European legaltech publisher (Paris)

The context

We are supporting a European legaltech publisher that is bringing several products of the same suite under one runtime shell. The point is not to rebuild yet another frontend. It is to design the architecture that lets several teams ship their own modules at their own pace, without stepping on each other and without going back through a monolith.

The role

• Architect the runtime shell that unifies the products of the suite
• Design the micro-frontend composition with Webpack Module Federation
• Define the interface contracts between product teams and keep them alive over time
• Set the versioning strategy and the independent deployment of each module
• Keep React, Next.js (SSR) and TypeScript consistent across the whole scope
• Work with the Node/Express backend and the APIs described in OpenAPI
• Support the frontend teams as they adopt those standards

• React, Next.js with SSR, TypeScript
• Node.js / Express, APIs described in OpenAPI
• Webpack Module Federation for module composition

What we are looking for

• Senior or expert level, with real frontend architecture experience across several products or several teams
• Micro-frontends already running in production, not just a proof of concept
• Strong command of React, Next.js (SSR) and TypeScript
• Comfortable with Node/Express and API design (OpenAPI)
• Able to make architecture calls and get them adopted without hierarchical authority
• Fluent French is required

The terms

• Paris, 2 to 3 days per week on site (no full remote)
• Permanent contract (CDI) or freelance, both are open
• Start as soon as possible
