Abbeal is looking for an intermediate data scientist for a Canadian financial institution in Montreal.
Context
The data and AI team builds machine learning solutions that inform business decisions, working closely with the data engineers and AI engineers who take them to production.
The role
- Statistical modelling and predictive analytics
- Experimentation: A/B testing and causal inference
- Feature engineering, model evaluation and interpretability
- Production deployment with data and AI engineers
- Data storytelling and prescriptive recommendations for business teams
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years in data science, quantitative degree (bachelor, master or PhD)
- Python and SQL (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
- Databricks (notebooks, workflows) and Spark
- Git and Azure DevOps or Jira
- Power BI or Tableau
