Hub(s)
Lille (opéré depuis Montréal)
Bopizy is a French startup founded in 2023 (Lille region, incubated at Eurea Technologies) that democratises click & collect for local merchants: butchers, charcutiers, market producers, local artisans — "those forgotten by digitalisation."
The product promise
- Merchant side: set up your e-shop in 5 minutes, no tedious product entry. The merchant takes a photo of their stall, computer vision detects the products and generates the e-commerce listing automatically
- Consumer side: order in a few clicks and come pick up the order, anchored in neighbourhood commerce
The Abbeal cross-Atlantic squad
To support platform construction, Abbeal deployed 2 full-time developers from Montreal, operating on European time zone to stay in sync with the founders in France and their first deployments (launch with the Dunkerque urban community):
- 1 CTO: microservices architecture, hosting platform (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Mongo Atlas), CI/CD, Scrum setup and facilitation
- 1 fullstack TypeScript developer: merchant onboarding journey with generative AI integration (GPT-3.5 / Gemini) to personalise e-shops, DDD APIs, Zod validation, Auth0 access, mobile UX optimisation
The tech stack
- Front: Nuxt 3 + Vue.js + TypeScript
- Back: Node.js + DDD + Zod + Auth0
- Data: MongoDB Atlas
- Infra: GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub)
- Payments: Stripe
- AI: Computer Vision on stall photo + GPT-3.5 / Gemini for onboarding personalisation
- Method: Scrum, CI/CD, 10+ microservices architecture
The outcome
- 10+ microservices architected and operated (technical angle)
- 5 minutes to create your merchant e-shop
- Computer vision on stall photo → automated product listing
- 2 full-time devs in cross-Atlantic squad mode (Montreal ↔ Lille)
- Platform in production with first clients in test in spring 2025
Why Abbeal
A seed startup can't afford to build a full product team in Lille. But it needs a senior CTO and a fullstack capable of shipping fast. Abbeal delivered both from Montreal, on European time zone, with real technical autonomy. That's our Mobbeal cross-Atlantic format: a remote execution hub, fully aligned with the founders.
